Graphics card problem

Now I've just about had it.

Here's the card I had before:

ATI Radeon 9250

Here's the card I have now:

ATI Radeon 9800 Series

When I had the 9250, I could play Call of Duty 2 online with a few problems, low fps (around 30-35) but now with the 9800, my fps is down to 2!

I'm wondering why when I bought a better card, my gameplay is worse.

Can anyone give me advice or maybe some answers please?

You need to make sure you completly remove the old drivers, then download the newest ones from ATI's website.

Well it also said that if it wants me to configure the game to the new hardware that I have. Do I still need to do that? I don't know how to get rid of the old graphics card hardware cuz i'm a retard when it comes to this.

Who put the new card in?
When you upgrade a video card, you need to un install the old one first before removing it from the computer.
If it was not uninstalled first, then you have 2 options.

1 - put the old card back in and uninstall it using add/remove hardware under the control panel. Then install the new card.

OR

2 - go to add remove programs and uninstall any and all ATI software listed there, then install the newest version from thier website.

Maybe I should've also said this.

Call of Duty 2 is the only game on my computer which has the problems.

NHL 06: Running a lot more smoother
Call of Duty: Better fps
Call of Duty United Offensive: See Call of Duty

Apparently that's the only game that's not cooperating with me.
Here are the drives that are on my computer:

1) ATI - Uninstall Software Utility
2) ATI Control Panel
3) ATI Display Driver
4) ATI HydraVision
I don't know which ones need to be deleted.

Oh yeah and I installed Quake 4 after realizing that I needed a new graphics card. I'll be looking forward to seeing you guys there soon.

If it's only the one game, then a reinstall of that game should fix it.

Reinstallation sucessful.

FPS still Image

O WAIT!!

It appears that I forgot to set the DirectX setting to 7 instead of 9

That's what the problem was so I didn't need a reinstallation.
